Original Toronto Star caption: For me. Certainly, Scorsese, as he should have been, was the hit during a 3 1/2-hour marathon of film clips, questions, friends that resemble a self conscious talk show minus the television cameras, or a more pretentious version of the old Ralph Edwards TV series, This Is Your Life. Film critics Roger Ebert and Gene Siskel, the hosts for what is the first tribute at the Festival of Film Festivals honoring 'the contributions of a member of the international film community,' were somehow allowed to sneak a lot of pretension through customs when they came up from Chicago.
