Original Toronto Star caption: Construction on the church was begun in 1874, as was work on the Ontario Agriculture College. Like other old buildings, the two structures were made of limestone.

Anchor aground: An old anchor looms in the foreground and mist rises off the water as Toronto harbor gets an early foretaste of the quiet days of winter. The harbor was busier this year than last; but things slow down to a crawl when winter really takes hold and the St. Lawrence Seaway and Welland Canal close for the season. Shipping usually stops at the end of December.
