New home for Hedgehog: Kim Dormaar, assistant director of new Metro zoo, holds a hedgehog from Asia, one of 5,000 animals, birds, reptiles and fish which will live in the 700-acre zoo. In order to raise funds for the new zoo, Metro's six mayors and thousands of zoo supporters are today walking 15 miles in hopes of raising $500,000 towards $6 million zoo fund objective. The zoo, being built in northeastern corner of Scarborough, will open next summer.

Real traffic stoppers in Scarborough yesterday were Marjorie and Harry Gordaneer in their Santa Claus costumes. Mrs. Gordancer, who has been a crossing guard for 20 years and is president of the Metro school crossing guards' organization, has been handing out candy canes to youngsters at her crossing on Clonmore Dr. Husband Harry, who's an area supervisor with the borough's board of education, has been playing Santa at a number of schools this week.

New President of the ex, Jack Corrigan was first attracted to the giant fair 50 years ago. He received a midway pass for attending a summer Sunday school run by the then-president of the CNE. Corrigan has suggested that cars be banned from the central section of the Ex and the space landscaped.
