Dunbar, 49, has used his equity in Canadian Tire shares to pay off his mortgage and start a business that later failed. He still has more than $120,000 left. He hopes to retire in few years.

DaCosta, 46, becomes top enforcement officer for the Ontario Securities Commission in September - the man in charge of keeping Bay Streeters in line. He's been a specialist in mining and securities law for many years.
