Refinishing pine tool moulds is just one of the projects 27-year-old Bill Don has taken on since he and he and his wife Bev decided to fulfil his life's dream, to run their own store. Ardith One, on Yonge St., features antiques and artifacts the pair has collected over the past two years. The young couple say that mixing marriage and business has given them something to work on for the rest of their lives.

A dream come true for former Scarborough insurance man Frederick Carlisle is his three-hulled Caravel II. He bought it 5 years ago for $25,000 and has cruised more than 20,000 miles with his daughters Nora, 11 (left) and Mary, 13, (right) and his wife. During the five-year getaway on the world's oceans the girls managed to pick up six years' credits on their correspondence courses. The Carlisles are thinking of crossing the Atlantic Ocean a second time next year.

His 31 years with the North York Board of Education give teacher Walker Dear (middle) the second-longest service record of high school teachers in the borough. Technical director at Downsview Secondary School since 1962, he retires June 30. With him are two of his former students who now are teachers at the school. Clare and Bob Duck run Bob's Truck Stop in Campbellville for men who drove cross-country trucks, not for tourists. It's good, plain, solid food cooked to keep a trucker satisfied for the next 300 miles. Mrs. Duck says. Tourists tend to eat lighter foods like salads. Duck is a mechanic and worked in the Arctic for 13 years, taking supplies in by cat train. They opened the restaurant in January.
