Portables fill playground: From the roof of St. Roch Separate School on Duncanwoods Dr. in North York, Metro Separate School Board Chairman Bruno Suppa can see pupils play among 20 portable classrooms that occupy most of the playground. Yet a few streets away, Whitfield Public School is more than half empty. The province is trying to make the public and separate systems co-operate in using available space.
