Message from the President of the U. States, transmitting copies of certain documents obtained from a secret agent of the British Government, employed in fomenting disaffection to the constituted authorities, and in bringing about resistance to the laws: and eventually, in concert with a British force, to destroy the union of the United States. March 9th, 1812. Printed by order of the Senate of the United States. Henry, a British agent, was sent to New England in 1809 to report upon the political feeling in that report upon the political feeling in that region. In February, 1812, he sold documents connected with his mission to President Madison, who transmitted them to Congress. Includes letters to and from Henry, Sir James Craig, and Herman W. Ryland.
