Format
Lot 18, Con. 1 West. Yonge St. Gibson front gate and lane leading to the house and barns. The house just shows over the top of the gate through the pine trees. At the left of the gate is the base of the great elm tree which was planted by David Gibson. This tree was so high and wide that its branches shaded the opposite side of Yonge Street. Falling limbs from the tree made it necessary to cut it down. Vernon Gibson recalls watching the fall with his oldest brother, Harold.
