Lot 11, East 1/2, Con. 4 West. Downsview Gun Club at the shooting range in Wardlaw's Bush, north of Wilson between Keele and Jane. Peter Wardlaw acquired this land in 1844. The Carruthers family had lived nearby on lot 10, con. 3 West since 1822. The five Carruthers men at this time were active in hunting and target shooting. The Downsview Gun Club was active since at least the 1880s and George Carruthers was president of the club in 1910-11. Front row: Walter Bagg, Charles O'Brien, Harry Bagg, Bert Carruthers.
