Don Mills Rd. First Don school, built in 1837. When this photo was taken it was being used as a stable on the farm of James Hogg and located on the east side of the Don River about due east of the country store. The original location of the building when used as a school is not known. The school was used until 1853 when it was replaced by the brick school at the south east corner of Don Mills Road and Lawrence. See photo NYHS00063.
