Original Toronto Star caption: Eight workers narrowly escaped death yesterday when a Rosedale sewer tunnel in which they were working caved in for the second time in two weeks. The tunnel; 90 feet below Rowanwood Ave.; flooded with water; leaving a gaping hole in the road above; Kevin Callan; 23 (L); and Clair Calhoun; 26; both underground at time; raced a wall of muck for several hundred yards before reaching safety.
