Original Toronto Star caption: Burned-out nave of the Yonge Street United Church is probed by firemen in the wake of a three-alarm blaze early today that gutted the main part of the building and did extensive damage to the rectory and to the church tower. About 18 fire trucks took part in the two-hour battle to bring the fire under control. At one point; flames shot 30 feet over the roof. Cause of spectacular blaze hasn t been determined yet.
