Original Toronto Star caption: More than 100 firefighters were battling a massive blaze this morning that was raging out of control in University of Toronto's Sandford Fleming building. Used by civil engineering department; building houses a computer centre which contains many of the university records; a library and lecture room. Police; firefighters and computer operators from the university carried hundreds of rolls of computer tape from second and third floors while firefighters on aerial ladders poured tons of water on to blazing northeast section. Eight firemen were hurt.
