Original Toronto Star caption: Explaining away a tank crash. A 24;000-ton Sherman tank of World War II vintage that had been on display at CNE accidentally gunned down a mail truck yesterday outside the Coliseum. Constable Leo Bond investigated the accident. Donald G. Smith of the Military Technology Museum was taking the tank back to the Dennison Armory when a postal truck ran into a cannon projecting from the tank at right angles and the truck windshield smashed.
