Original Toronto Star caption: A Lockheed Tristar wearing Air Canada's colors is surrounded by scaffolding as workmen complete some of the final stages in a huge assembly hangar at Palmdale, California. The 256-passenger jet, to be delivered to Air Canada next month, is one of at least 10 TriStars slated for Air Canada over the next three years. In the background are other TriStars being built for other airlines. The three-engine plane is described as the world's quietest jetliner.
