Original Toronto Star caption: Scores of ducks-but not Ringo-paddle along the shore of Lake Ontario as Humane Society Inspector John McArthur tosses bread crumbs and corn to them today in a vain attempt to lure the elusive female mallard who has a beverage can pull ring stuck on her beak; sealing it shut. Ringo was nearly captured at Grenadier Pond last night; but escaped as Humane Society officials raced to her.
