Even when people are content to leave the icy water to polar bears-or ducks-the wildfowl who winter around the harbor are looking for a bit of water, however icy, to swim in. Some of the smart ones know about the harbor police station near the foot of Spadina Ave., where the boats clear away ice and make a swimming hole. Warmer weather, with a high of 20, is forecast for tomorrow.
