Original Toronto Star caption: Some hitchhikers are clowns. The end of transit strike severely reduced the number of hitchhikers in Metro; but the art took on new twist as Pamela Kirk; 24; of London; England; tried to thumb ride on Bloor St. near High Park yesterday. A street clown with community group in London; Pamela plans to hichhike; in costume; to British Columbia on Monday. She intends to use her experiences on the road in Canada in a book she's writing.
