Original Toronto Star caption: Building system which dates back to 1912 is being revived in the Metro area in an effort to keep costs down. Known as the tilt-up system; walls of a building are cast in panels at the site and raised into position. One of the users; Mel-Ron Construction; estimates building time is cut in half. Firm says cost of this industrial building in Whitby will be about 20 per cent less than conventional construction.
