Original Toronto Star caption: Shoppers' paradise; about 30 miles from downtown Toronto; is the Stouffville Farmers' Market; held every Saturday and attracting thousands of impulse buyers. It's a combination farmers' market and flea market so there's something for everybody. Shirley Anderson; of Unionville; is attracted to peacock feathers which Kevin Colborne; 14; offers for sale. The flea market section includes the wares of antique dealers; junk salesmen and fund-raising groups.

New home for Hedgehog: Kim Dormaar, assistant director of new Metro zoo, holds a hedgehog from Asia, one of 5,000 animals, birds, reptiles and fish which will live in the 700-acre zoo. In order to raise funds for the new zoo, Metro's six mayors and thousands of zoo supporters are today walking 15 miles in hopes of raising $500,000 towards $6 million zoo fund objective. The zoo, being built in northeastern corner of Scarborough, will open next summer.
