Original Toronto Star caption: When the lights went on after last night's power failure pedestrians found streetcars lined up. There were 670 of them throughout downtown streets. Another 130 trolley buses had stopped in heavy traffic. Underground; subway trains had been halted. The TTC was carrying 60;000 passengers when the power failed.
