Original Toronto Star caption: Artist Gully Jimpson paints on features and applies eyelashes to the heads before the manikins are assembled. The life-span of a model is usually under five years. In the late 1960s; the manikins were more shapely; said Nick Soriano; 38-year-old partner in the company. But they have become slimmer in the last few years to keep pace with the changing fashions. Each manakin is made individually.
