Original Toronto Star caption: HMCS Ottawa; the navy's first bilingual ship; is docked at Queen's Quay between York St. and Sadina Ave. and is open to the public from 2 to 4.30 p.m. today and tomorrow. Her captain; Cmdr. Pierre Simard (right); says: We're the best fed ship in the whole fleet. When other ships have pot roast; the men of the Ottawa dine on beef stroganoff-on calm Sundays in the Caribbean-a glass of wine; which each sailor buys out of his canteen fund. Most of the Ottawa's work is carried out in French but English is used during NATO operations.
