Original Toronto Star caption: A Sample of water is taken from the west-branch of Don River yesterday by Mayor William Dennison; to be sent to a laboratory for a pollution test. Mayor had earlier said he noticed the river water changed color at certain hours; indicating deliberate polluting. A testing engineer suggested it was an optical illusion.
