Original Toronto Star caption: Lonely inmate walks down the corridor of the reception area at the Galt institution. This is where girls admitted to the institution spend their first days while teachers; psychologist and group therapists diagnose their problems and work out a plan of rehabilitation. Doors at left lead to cubicles where each girl sleeps behind lock and key. Before introduction of the new program; most of these youngsters would have been classified as incorrigible delinquents.
