The children in the wood : an instructive tale

Engraved title vignette is dated Octr. 14, 1801. Stories, hymns, and factual information are incorporated in this moral tale of the two children who were finally admitted to a school of industry. The story was inspired by the ballad which is given at the end. The text illustrations are engraved on copper, probably by William Darton.
