College/Shaw branch opening parade on College Street

A major event of the College/Shaw branch opening was a parade west on College Street organized by the Building Committee. Many organizations from the Portuguese and Italian communities participated along with City and Provincial officials, Board members and administration staff. The Carabiniere in full uniform were particularly attractive and added much colour and pomp to this special event.
