Notes
Avenue road shade trees will be removed when street widened. An excellent view of Avenue Rd., north from the intersection of St. Clair Ave., from where the pavement of Avenue Rd. is to be widened from 24-46 feet, and the five foot walks on either side are to be set back 11 feet from the curbs. Sixty-one beautiful shade trees will have to be removed to make way for the pavement. On the RIGHT is the residence of Hon. G. Howard Ferguson, Canadian High Commissioner in London. He is leading strenuous opposition to the widening and the destruction of the trees.
