Carolyn Ross at desk at right. Photo appeared in the Toronto Public Library Annual Report 1941 p. 14. Caption reads  "Display Booth, Canadian National Exhibition. Part of the branch library provided during the remainder of the year, for the troops in training. The library is now in full operation again at Manning Deport. Often 60 or 70 airmen are using the library at one time and every corner of it is crowded."
