The four plates are engraved on wood by W. Dickes.
The recaptured Negro is a story of the African boy, Dazee, who was illegally captured, placed aboard a slaver, released by the British government, and sent to the colony of Sierra Leone. Here he was converted and, after four years, re-united with his aged mother.
