Careful coaching: 10-year-old Andrea Essig gets special coaching from Andra Kelly at the Victoria Village Arena. Andrea was one of 30 blind children on hand at the arena yesterday learning how to skate.

In its second year, the blind skaters program run by North York's parks and recreation department is brainchild of Andra Kelly, wife of Toronto Maple Leafs coach Red Kelly, and Nancy Cameron of department. Here, Mrs. Kelly assists Dennis Donnelly at Victoria Village Arena. There are 10 people in program, ranging in age from 7 to 62, and they come from all parts of Metro. They need more volunteers.
