Next stop; Lima. Toronto dock workers load one of 25 buses decommissioned by the Toronto Transit Commission on to a freighter at Pier 51 near Cherry St. and Unwin Ave. yesterday. The buses; taken out of service after 18 years; and two city garbage trucks are bound for Lima; Peru.

Two Island ferries are tied up on the waterfront in the winter; with only the car ferry operating for the people who live on Algonquin and Ward's Islands. But the Harbor Police continue their 24-hour watch from a tower.
