Doreen MacDonald picked up a toaster from a pile of battered appliances in the Qeen St. E. Soup-to-nuts junk store run by Jack Himself Cohen. One dollar. Himself said. Does it work? Doreen asked. I don't know. Why don't you plug it in and find out? All I do is sell as is. You won't plug it in? No. Doreen paid the $1 and once again proved Himself's credo: I don't polish anything.
