Original Toronto Star caption: Cars are abandoned in the snow on Highway 401 at Trafalgar Rd. yesterday; when the 2-inch snowfall closed eastbound Highway 401 for more than 12 hours and blocked the Don Valley Parkway for two hours. Homebound traffic was slowed to a crawl yesterday evening and there was the usual crop of accidents; none of them serous. Last night; another 6 inches of snow was forecast for today; but this has been scaled down to 4 since the snow stopped.
