Original Toronto Star caption: Peel keeps digging out ? and drifting in; More than a week after the big snowstorm that paralyzed highway traffic; Ontario Department of Highways' plows and snow loaders still fight to keep roads in northern Peel County open as they tackle 10-foot drifts on Highway 24 that have reduced parts of the road to a single lane. Men are working two 12-hour shifts a day; and the plows run constantly; but snow drifts back as fast as it is cleared.
