Lot 23, Con. 3 East. Leslie St. Thomas Johnston House, east side of Leslie Street. Thomas Johnston Sr. was an Irish immigrant who settled on lot 24, con. 3 east in 1837. His son, Thomas Johnston Jr. purchased the north west corner of lot 23 in 1853. Robert James Johnston (Thomas Johnston Sr.'s grandson) on steps, a young girl who is either Belle (Zelma May) Johnston or Florence McKenzie, and Mrs. Robert James Johnston (ne Fannie Hill). The house was renovated in 1936 and demolished in the 1960s.
