Original Toronto Star caption: Yellow-Fronted stores are the most visible part of the Loblaw organization for people who live in Ontario. But these supermarkets; operated through subsidiary Loblaw Groceterias; account for only a minor portion of the sales of Loblaw Companies Ltd. Stores such as the one above; on Parliament St.; are being modernized and redesigned in the company's new image; a program which this year will cost $10 million. Gone will be the familiar yellow tiles and the bold LOBLAWS signs. Many smaller stores have been closed as Loblaw joins high-volume outlets trend.
