This was scene on Queen's Quay as Bay St. buses waited for downed trolley lines to be repaired and traffic to be cleared. Subway trains were delayed by frozen switches and blocked tracks in open-cut sections of lines; and streetcars were slowed by snow-clogged tracks and cars stuck on rails. Special storm cars were kept running through the night on open-cut sections of subways and on streetcar tracks to keep tracks open.
