Original Toronto Star caption: Disillusioned Mennonites tell of civil war violence, moral corruption, lack of farming land and other difficulties that beset the new colony in Paraguay. Mike, left, and Jacob Enns, centre, brought their families home. Jacob said both their parents lost 50 pounds each, told of sudden weather, changes, bad water, food that riddled colony with sickness.
