Original Toronto Star caption: In traditional dress, a group of Amish farmers check over draught horses to be sold at farm show auction. The Mennonite sect is one of the few that still refuses to use motorized farm vehicles. Farmers say price of gasoline finally has exceeded cost of feed, so many others showed interest in the sales. Farm show officials said it was the largest auction in years. As one added, jokingly, a horse doesn't need a 10,000-mile check.
