Original Toronto Star caption: A converted van parked in a Montreal friend's driveway will be home to Mary Phoenix during the Olympic Games while her husband; Skip; dives for Canada. Here they work together to put the finishing touches on the van. Skip and Mary were both teaching physical education at West Hill Collegiate; but he took a year off to concentrate on training. Skip knew he would miss a minimum of 60 days through competition; Mary said; and that would not be fair to the school.
