Original Toronto Star caption: The 11th Annual Mariposa Folk Festival opened yesterday on Toronto Island; and the overshelming mood was one of peacefulness. This was largely due to the elimination this year of the formal; big-name evening concerts featured in the past; the new mariposa is a daytime affair; starting at 10 a.m and winding up at 8.30 p.m.; it continues today and tomorrow. One of the big attractions for yesterday's 5;000 fans was Bruce Cockburn (left); shown onstage with Eric Nagle.
