Original Toronto Star caption: Peter Johnson; 32; is a Toronto sculptor with a bachelor of fine arts from Queen's University. His slick; curving acrylic-on-masonite wall reliefs and free standing sculptures are available at Klonaridis; Inc.; 144 Front St. W. for $800 to $1;000. British-born Johnson's popular works are created by soaking masonite in water and moulding it while wet. This inventive artist then applies acrylic paint that he sands carefully to obliterate any observable brush strokes. Johnson is currently being featured in a solo exhibition at Kingston's St. Lawrence College Art Gallery until Oct. 23.
