Original Toronto Star caption: Getting into the pioneer spirit; The Pioneer Festival Saturday at Black Creek Pioneer Village at Steeles Ave; and Jane St. drew a big crowd?13 of them in one family from Caledon East. Nick and Margaret Peca have taken all their children now totalling 11; to the restored village every Pioneer Day for three years; some of the older children in the dress of the 19th century. This year Nicolette; 2; the baby of the family; rode in a high-wheeled Canadian-made vintage carriage; the black carriage is a 1902 model.
