Original Toronto Star caption: And that's a lot of Lettuce; Young lettuce for the salad bowls of Metro is tilled by Chip Rupke; of Chip's Gardens in the Holland Marsh; riding his tractor along the long rows. More mature lettuce is weeded by hand. Lettuce is planted at only two rows a week so the crop can be harvested-and sold-over a longer period of time; weather permitting. Tomorrow will be mostly sunny with gradually increasing temperatures and humidity.
