Original Toronto Star caption: Yorkville temperance landmark demolished. An excavator smashes down the walls of 138-year-old Ketchum Hall on Davenport Rd. yesterday after officials of the Stone Church, which owns the building, ignored pleas from politicians to postpone the demolition. Angry neighbors watched helplessly as the building - once the centre of the Ontario temperance movement - was reduced to rubble. A parking lot will replace it.
