Original Toronto Star caption: Scene change: It was January 1927 and even then things changed much in Toronto's downtown district. This building; located at 187 York Street; was earlier known as Crispen's Tavern; became subsequently a bargain book store and - nearly a century old at that time - was put up for sale again.
