Two men; Robert Jones; 40; of 17 John street; and Lawrence Darby; 19; of 184 Sherbourne street; fell 72 feet from the xith floor of the new Atlas Building at Bay and Temperance streets yesterday. Jones died to-day. John Meeser; aged 39; of 198 1-2 Queen street east; saved himself by grasping a beam. The accident was caused by the collapse of scaffolding. Darby is said to be progressing favorably. Left is a view of the building construction; the floor being indicated. Next is Jones; then Darby and Meeser.
