Original Toronto Star caption: Total capacity of hosptial will now be 355 patients. The new wing at the Toronto East General hospital was officialy started Saturday when Dr. J.Y. Ferguson; chief of the hospital medical staff; laid the corner stone. The new wing will add 175 new cots and beds to the present accommodation for 180; and will help relive the overcrowded condition of the hospital. Dr. H.J. Cody; of the University of Toronto; dedicated the new wing; and pronounced a blessing on the staff which will engage in relieving human suffering there.
