Original Toronto Star caption: Even as The Star embarks on a new era; it keeps touch with its roots. A circular staircase (below left) to the executive offices is flanked by two ornate lamps that used to adorn the old Star building at 80 King St. W. And the big; brass mailbox (left) from 80 King also has a place of honor in the lobby. The glass-sided cafeteria is an employee oasis accented by five black olive trees transplanted from Florida. But technology plays a part even in nature - the trees have an automatic watering system.
